Step Up AT is an evidence-based program that coaches early childhood teachers, teacher assistants, teacher support specialists, school districts, and other agencies to adopt evidence-based assistive technology (AT) practices shown to improve early literacy outcomes for children ages 3–5 who have disabilities.

TORSH is proud to partner with Step Up AT to support their peer coaching model. Step Up AT coaches use our customizable, secure online platform to facilitate remote and in-person practice-based coaching. Teachers take video of their use of AT with students, upload it to the secure TORSH Talent platform, and receive time-stamped feedback on what went well and opportunities for improvement from their coaches.

Step Up AT has also created a library of training videos that teachers can access in the TORSH Talent Resource Library and have uploaded forms, rubrics, and other materials that Step Up AT coaches and participants can easily access. With TORSH Talent, Step Up AT is reducing paperwork, improving the coaching experience, and ultimately helping children reach their full potential.

Watch this video made for Step Up AT peer coaches to see how the program is using TORSH Talent to enhance the quality of instruction and build the foundation for early learning success for children with disabilities.
